My Meat - help!?

First off I don't really cook so I don't know if I need help. I have a party tonight and have meat with the g jeely chili sauce recipe in the crock pot. The sauce is really liquid-y. Is that how it's supposed to be? I have the crock pot on low...should I take it off the heat for a while?
