What do black people really think Obama can do for them?

I read all about black people being so happy about getting a half black president. What can Obama really do for blacks and minorities that already hasn't been done? Racism will always exist whether it's black towards whites, whites towards Asians, Asians towards Hispanics, ect. But racism for the most part is not as bad as media promotes it (white people voted Obama in, didn't they?). Minorities have countless resources for discrimination should they experience any. All races have equal rights and affirmative action ensures that you will get a job if you are qualified. Everyone is free to celebrate their cultures, religion, ect. Minorities get help for education. So what exactly can Obama really do for blacks/minorities that the government hasn't done other than throw them a parade for not being white?
