Is background music played at the reception?

Background music is commonly played during the reception, often during the meal. At my wedding we played mellow folk rock, like Jack Johnson, that is not something you normally dance to, but is pleasant to listen to. I've been to weddings where they played piano versions of standards or pop songs. Your DJ will know what to play and when.
